Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join its Energy & Resources team in the UK, delivering civil design across a broad portfolio including hydropower, energy-from-waste, and transmission & distribution projects. The role spans concept through site support, with a strong emphasis on collaborative technical delivery.

You will work with project managers and clients, integrating civil, structural, geotechnical and M&E inputs, and contribute to advisory and assurance activities while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Progress towards Chartered Engineer status with the Engineering Council and ICE.
• Experience in civil design across Waterpower and dams, Hydropower and pumped storage, Advanced digestion and energy from waste, Transmission and distribution projects.

Responsibilities

• Involved in projects across the full lifecycle—from concept through to detailed design and site support.
• Lead Owner’s Engineer duties and contractor-facing detailed design, troubleshooting and installation support.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical leaders and clients to deliver integrated civil, structural, geotechnical and M&E solutions.
