Job summary

Strata Construction Consulting UK Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to help move from traditional consultancy to delivering real in-house designs on major residential developments.

You will design infrastructure including highways, drainage and earthworks, review drawings, manage road and sewer adoption processes, liaise with authorities and stakeholders, support planning submissions and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in residential development or infrastructure design.
• Strong understanding of highways and drainage design.
• Working knowledge of Section 38, Section 278 and Section 104 agreements.
• Proficient in design software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage or Causeway Flow.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership advantageous.

• Prepare and review technical drawings, reports and calculations.
• Manage the adoption process for roads and sewers (S38, S278 and S104 agreements).

Are you a Senior Civil Engineer looking to move beyond consultancy and see your designs come to life?

Our client, a well-established residential developer based in Birmingham, is looking to strengthen its in-house engineering team with the appointment of a Senior Civil Engineer.

Unlike many developers who outsource design work, this business has invested heavily in an in-house civil engineering capability. You'll play a key role in the design and delivery of major residential developments, working closely with land, planning, technical and construction teams from concept through to completion.

This is an excellent opportunity to influence schemes from the earliest stages, take ownership of infrastructure design and help create high-quality residential communities across the Midlands.
