Job summary

Brookbanks in the UK is seeking a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer to lead the design and delivery of major civil infrastructure projects, including highways, drainage, and external works, ensuring quality and compliance.

You will mentor engineers, manage client relationships, and contribute to a hybrid working culture across national schemes with a focus on progression and professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience of highway or drainage design and earthworks assessments.
• Technical leadership.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroDrainage.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Qualifications: Minimum HND/C in Civil Engineering; degree desirable; ICE chartered preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leading the design and delivery of major civil infrastructure projects.
• Providing expert consultation and technical leadership.
• Overseeing project delivery from proposal to practical completion.
• Managing and cultivating client relationships and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, policies, and legislation (e.g. CDM and UK Building Regulations).
