The Role

Job Purpose

My client is looking to expand and grow their Civil Engineering department in the Bedford office.

Job Description

The role covers a range of experience from Senior Engineers with a good level of experience to Associate Director level.

Responsibilities include:

1. Working on various residential and non-residential projects around the UK, from small private developers to house builders and master planning schemes.
2. Liaising and communicating with Clients, third-party consultants/council officers, and attending meetings as required.
3. Collaborating with the wider engineering team.
4. Assisting with team management and/or managing the team.
5. Managing own workload and deadlines, and running own projects.
6. Using CAD (Microstation desirable).
7. Utilizing drainage & 3D design software such as Flow and PDS to model drainage networks and produce road designs/ground models.
8. Undertaking due diligence and feasibility reviews of potential sites.
9. Preparing submission packs for planning (Outline/Detail/Full).
10. Completing technical design submissions (S38/S278/S104) through to approval.
11. Completing groundworks packages for tender/construction.
12. Producing private engineering designs for on-plot civils works is desirable.
13. Having an understanding of the planning process and associated documents (e.g., Flood Risk Assessments).
