Job summary

Tec Partners Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer for a contract role in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will lead civil infrastructure design, including highways, drainage and external works, across residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10 years' experience in civil infrastructure design.
• Strong highways, drainage and infrastructure design experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Vehicle Tracking and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage.
• Experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies.
• Knowledge of UK design standards and regulations.
• Experience delivering design packages for commercial, industrial or residential schemes.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical deliverables.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil infrastructure design packages from concept through detailed design and construction.
• Undertake highways, drainage, external works and related infrastructure design.
• Prepare and review Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies.
• Produce designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Vehicle Tracking and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors and clients.
• Provide technical guidance and oversee junior engineers and technicians.
• Manage project deliverables, programmes and resources to meet deadlines.
• Attend design coordination meetings and liaise with stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with UK standards, regulations and industry best practices.
• Support delivery of technically challenging infrastructure projects.
