Job summary

Sky UK is seeking a Principal Apps Integration CI/CD & Automation Engineer to lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies for streaming and web applications. You will drive best practices, embed testing in CI/CD, and mentor junior engineers, forging a new automation and quality function across multiple territories.

You'll operate with autonomy, collaborate with engineering, product and ops teams, and adopt a hybrid working model with 2 days in the

Qualifications

Strong Linux expertise including containers, scripting, and release management.
Experience designing and leading CI/CD implementations in production (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
Advanced Python scripting skills; other languages a plus.
Experience delivering test automation for web apps at scale (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).

Responsibilities

Lead design, implementation and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines across web apps.
Define and deliver end-to-end automated testing strategies (UI, API, integration, performance).
Develop scalable automation frameworks and Python-based solutions.
Embed testing within CI/CD to maintain quality gates for releases.
Create dashboards to track quality metrics, test coverage and pipeline performance.
Analyse results and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Mentor junior engineers and grow the automation/quality function.
