Job summary

Sky in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Entertainment Release QA) to develop automation solutions that ensure quality, reliability and performance across Smart TV and streaming devices.

You will work in a hybrid setup with cross-functional teams, applying Java, Python, JavaScript, Cypress and automation frameworks to enhance test coverage and release readiness for Sky's entertainment products.

Qualifications

• Expert level experience of building and maintaining full stack development in Java, Python and JavaScript.
• Automating solutions in Cypress and Automatics Framework.
• Deep analytical skills in root cause identification of defects on Smart TV and Streaming Device with streaming app, audio/video syncs and interoperability user experience testing.
• Strong DevOps Practices experience with full lifecycle ownership, observability and integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation solutions for QA of Smart TV and streaming devices.
• Maintain test automation infrastructure and integrate with version control systems.
• Practice agile methodologies with cross-functional sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Develop and execute BDD and test automation on RDK stacks with CI/CD pipelines.
