YourRecruit Ltd on Hayling Island is seeking a Senior Qualified Children's Support Worker to provide high-quality, child-centred care in a safe, nurturing environment for children aged 5–18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

You will lead by example, support Residential Support Workers, and assist the Registered Manager with daily running of the home. The role offers progression opportunities, funded qualifications and a strong commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months' experience in a children's residential home.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches.
• Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
• Strong communication, leadership and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work long shifts, weekends and sleep-ins.

Responsabilités

• Provide high-quality, child-centred care in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Support children experiencing trauma, emotional difficulties and challenging behaviours.
• Lead by example, guiding and supporting Residential Support Workers.
• Assist the Registered Manager with the daily running of the home.
• Develop positive relationships with children, colleagues and external professionals.
• Contribute to care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and promote excellent standards of care.
• Encourage independence, emotional wellbeing and personal development.
