Job summary

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust in Coventry invites applications for a Senior Speech and Language Therapist (Band 6) in the Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Team. You will work with children and young people aged 0–19, across community, education and clinic settings, delivering evidence-based interventions and collaborating with families and professionals.

Qualifications

• Holds a recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Is registered with the HCPC.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is enthusiastic, compassionate and committed to achieving the best outcomes for children and young people.
• Values collaborative working and is keen to learn and develop professionally.
• Can work independently whilst also contributing positively as part of a wider team.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.
• Work with other speech and language therapists and speech and language therapy assistants in the team.
• Work in partnership with parents, carers, education staff and health professionals.
• Work in a variety of settings across community, education and clinic.
• Deliver training to support the wider children’s workforce.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and outcome measures.
• Participate in service development activities and quality improvement projects.
• Support less experienced colleagues, providing clinical supervision and mentoring.
