Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist (Band 6) to join our Neurodevelopmental Team across Birmingham. You will work with children with social communication difficulties and complex needs in a multidisciplinary setting.

You will provide assessment, support and training, contribute to pathway development, and mentor junior colleagues. Some assessments may be conducted virtually, with travel across city locations expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and families in ND or SEND settings.
• Ability to use standardised assessments as part of MDT.
• Strong communication and teamworking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and support children with social communication difficulties.
• Contribute to MDT case discussions and care planning.
• Offer supervision to junior staff and students.
• Deliver services across multiple locations, including some virtual assessments.
