Salary: £15.25–£16.25 per hour, depending on experience

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Residential Support Worker within children's residential care
- Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People or Health & Social Care
- Full manual UK driving licence
- Passion for creating a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for children and young people
- Strong understanding of the needs of children and young people in residential care
- Motivated, resilient and positive approach
- Open-minded attitude towards working within a therapeutic environment
- Ability to lead, mentor and support colleagues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Willingness to take on additional responsibility and develop as a leader
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, safe and nurturing care to children and young people
- Take a senior role in the day-to-day running of the children's home
- Lead by example and support Residential Support Workers in delivering high standards of care
- Mentor, guide and support colleagues to develop their skills and confidence
- Build positive, trusting and professional relationships with young people
- Support the delivery of therapeutic, child-centred care
- Follow individual care plans, safeguarding procedures and agreed therapeutic approaches
- Support young people with their emotional wellbeing, development and individual needs
- Respond appropriately to challenging situations and support positive behaviour
- Help maintain a stable, supportive and homely environment
- Contribute to the smooth running of the home and the effective delivery of daily routines
- Support colleagues to maintain high standards of safeguarding, records and professional practice
- Participate fully in the fixed shift pattern and sleep-in requirements
- Complete required training and engage in ongoing professional development
- Support the development of a positive, reflective and child-focused team culture
