Job summary

Purosearch Ltd is seeking a Senior Children’s Residential Care Worker for a Doncaster-based role. Salary £35,848–£38,028 per annum plus sleep-ins paid at £60 each; 173 hours per month with a 2-on/4-off pattern including sleep-ins.

Role requires a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, a driving licence, and a strong, therapeutic approach to care. Ofsted knowledge and right-to-work in the UK are essential, with progression opportunities and induction training included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience in a children's residential care home.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Full right to work in the UK without restrictions.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations and best practice.
• A therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare.
• Applicants must be aged 21 or over.
• Nurturing, supportive and resilient approach with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and support to young people within a nurturing residential environment.
• Build positive relationships and empower young people to flourish and achieve their potential.
• Support young people's educational, emotional and developmental needs.
• Provide trauma-informed, therapeutic care and crisis intervention.
• Encourage young people to engage in hobbies, interests and personalised activities.
• Promote independence, positive outcomes and emotional wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to ensure young people's needs are met.
• Promote equality, inclusion and respect while challenging discriminatory behaviour or practice.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, care and compliance with Ofsted expectations.
• Successful employment is subject to enhanced DBS, right-to-work and reference checks, with DBS costs covered.
