Job summary

Compassionate Care Ltd in Manchester is seeking an experienced Children's Operations Manager to lead the operational delivery across Ofsted-regulated services, including residential homes and short break services. You will oversee multi-site operations, recruit and develop staff, ensure safeguarding compliance, and manage budgets to drive excellence and sustainability.

You will collaborate with partners, maintain high safety standards, monitor KPIs, and build strong relationships with families

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years' experience as a Registered Manager within children's residential services.
• Proven experience managing and developing high-quality children's services within an Ofsted-regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practice.
• Experience leading multi-site or multi-team operations.
• Budget management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across residential children's homes, short break services, and other Ofsted-regulated children's services.
• Coach and mentor Registered Managers and teams to strengthen leadership, practice, and compliance.
• Ensure full compliance with safeguarding policies and relevant regulations.
• Lead on recruitment, retention, and workforce development.
• Monitor performance, quality standards, and KPIs.
• Manage budgets and ensure financial sustainability.
