Job summary

SuperCare Residential in Eastbourne is seeking a Super Lead (Senior Operational Lead) to provide operational oversight across our Children’s Residential Homes. The role strengthens stability, compliance and provides hands-on support to Registered Managers and Responsible Individuals.

You will safeguard high standards and step in during staffing pressures. You will lead on safeguarding, audits and quality improvement while developing leadership teams across multiple homes.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in a children's residential setting.
• Ability to stabilise and improve services under pressure.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding frameworks.
• Calm, authoritative, trauma-informed leadership style.
• Willingness to become Registered Manager if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight across all homes, ensuring Ofsted compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Responsible Individuals to ensure consistent leadership and support.
• Make decisive operational decisions in line with young people’s best interests.
• Offer hands-on support to Registered Managers during challenges or transitions.
• Step in as Acting/Interim Home Manager during sickness or vacancies.
• Maintain high safeguarding and care standards across services.
• Lead on serious incident reviews, audits, and quality improvement plans.
• Support staffing, recruitment, and safer recruitment practices.
• Oversee performance management and development of management teams.
• Manage rota planning and deployment for SuperSquad.
• Support the SuperTeam model across homes.
