Job summary

Dwelling Places Homes in London is seeking a motivated Senior Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred care to children and young people in a South East London residential home. You will lead shifts, support staff, and work closely with safeguarding practices and individual care plans.

You will contribute to creating a safe, nurturing environment, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with social workers and agencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience working with children and/or young people.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Commitment to safeguarding and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to children and young people living in the home.
• Lead shifts and supervise staff, ensuring the home is safe, well-organised and appropriately staffed.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding and care planning.
• Work collaboratively with social workers, placing authorities and other professionals.
