Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is seeking a full-time Lead Child Protection Practitioner to join our new Multi-Agency Child Protection Team. It is based in the North of the county with the office base at Nuneaton Justice Centre and some time spent in South locality offices.

You will work with Social Workers, Police, Health and Education colleagues to identify risk, make child protection decisions and guide families with a collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Professional Social Work qualification and SW England registration.
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification frontline experience.
• Knowledge of child protection law and safeguarding practices.
• Ability to work with resistant families and manage risk.
• Collaborative multi-agency approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead Child Protection Meetings, Strategy Meetings and conferences across all teams.
• Oversee Section 47 enquiries and develop child protection plans.
• Provide advice and support to Social Workers, Family Practitioners, and students, helping to develop practice skills.
• Conduct reflective supervision and group sessions within the team.
