Job summary

Liquid Personnel is recruiting Lead Child Protection Practitioner for its client at Gloucestershire. We are seeking an experienced social worker with substantial post-qualifying experience in child protection and the capability to meet the national Lead Child Protection Practitioner Standards.

Qualifications

• Social Work England registration.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Post-qualified experience.
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work.

Responsibilities

• Work within Multi-Agency Child Protection Teams to strengthen partnership working.
• Collaborate with health, education, police, and other agencies to ensure children receive timely help and protection.
• Provide professional consultation and guidance on child protection matters.
• Chair key child protection meetings.
• Oversee Section 47 enquiries.
• Ensure assessments, planning, and decision-making are based on strong analysis, risk assessment, and evidence of harm.
• Lead reflective supervision and support practice development.
• Contribute to quality assurance and service improvement.
• Promote a culture of learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Work directly with children, families, and professional networks.
• Support children and families to achieve meaningful participation, understanding, and sustained change.
