AWD Recruitment Limited is seeking a Lead Child Protection Practitioner to shape safeguarding practice in an integrated multi-agency setting. This senior role combines statutory decision-making with relationship-based practice and a strong focus on children’s voices.

You will coordinate child protection activity, work with Family Help Lead Practitioners, provide leadership and reflective consultation, and drive high-quality practice across the partnership.

Formación

• Current Social Work England registration.
• Substantial frontline statutory child protection experience across enquiries, assessments, reviews, conferences, decision-making and supervision.
• Experience communicating with children, families and professionals; involving them in meetings and decisions.
• Experience chairing meetings, managing conflict and applying childcare legislation and child protection principles.
• Strong analytical, planning and reflection skills for complex/high-risk cases; ability to support others.
• Management-level experience including supervision and leading social work teams.

Responsabilidades

• Chair complex Child Protection Conferences enabling meaningful participation by children and young people.
• Lead Multi-Agency Strategy Discussions and plan/monitor Section 47 investigations.
• Exercise statutory decision-making using multi-agency information and professional judgment.
• Promote children’s wishes and feelings; work with parents, carers and professionals.
• Ensure safeguarding plans are informed, current and effective; maintain timely records.
• Provide practice leadership, reflective consultation and quality assurance across the partnership.
• Apply inclusive and contextual safeguarding across exploitation and online risk.
