Placements24 is seeking an experienced Chemical Plant Operations Manager to oversee a Randburg facility. You will lead production, maintenance, safety, and personnel to drive operational excellence and profitability.

The role demands a strong background in chemical manufacturing, lean practices, and Six Sigma, with a track record of optimizing plant performance and maintaining industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years in chemical plant operations, incl. at least 5 years in management.
• Proven track record managing large-scale chemical production facilities.
• Strong understanding of process safety management, environmental compliance, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring targets are met safely and efficiently.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Mentor and manage the plant operations team, fostering safety and high performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and manage the plant's operational budget and CAPEX plans.
• Oversee maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
