Job summary

Chevron Recruitment Agency seeks a Check Manager in Prestwick to lead day-to-day aircraft maintenance input, ensuring availability of materials, resources, and facilities to deliver checks on time and within cost. You will be the primary customer contact, ensuring regulatory compliance, health and safety, and adherence to company procedures.

You will oversee CRS issuance, manage documentation, and coordinate with Project Manager, Planning Engineer, and Purchasing to optimise scheduling.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship in aircraft industry and Part 66 licences.
• Minimum 5 years management in P145 base maintenance.
• Experience supervising base maintenance and certifying aircraft.
• Strong understanding of Part 145 regulatory requirements.
• Proven leadership skills and safety management.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification.
• Good command of English and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time delivery of aircraft within budget and standards.
• Utilise C-certification to issue CRS after base maintenance input.
• Oversee work packs and documentation; ensure CRS accuracy.
• Collaborate with PM, Planning Engineer and Purchasing to optimise schedules.
• Identify risks and delays; implement mitigation strategies.
• Maintain high standards of documentation and handovers.
• Promote human factors awareness in daily operations.
• Work with Shift Supervisor to optimise manpower usage.
• Ensure correct use of MRO system and data integrity.
• Mentor and develop direct reports; conduct appraisals.
• Guide complex maintenance tasks and liaise with engineering.
• Lead investigations into incidents with preventive actions.
