Job summary

Zapp, London’s leading premium convenience retail platform, is seeking a Senior Central Operations Manager to lead day-to-day fulfilment centre and central operations. You will optimise customer order fulfilment, protect assets, and collaborate with delivery partners as we scale rapidly.

Based in Nine Elms, this full-time role oversees multiple locations, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and risk management while maintaining a customer-centric, high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in retail, grocery, hospitality and related operations.
• Experience in managing large teams in a fast-paced environment.
• In-depth understanding of retail operations, loss prevention strategies, security protocols, health and safety standards and industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5 managers and 100+ associates across multiple locations to drive performance.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimise fulfilment centre operations and reduce costs.
• Oversee inventory management, including cycle counts, FIFO, to minimise waste and shrink.
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve operations.
• Provide training, coaching and support to managers, supervisors and staff to raise leadership quality.
• Foster a positive, customer-centric culture and accountable teamwork.
• Lead recruitment to grow the fulfilment centre and central operations team.
