Job summary

IPL Schoeller is seeking a Senior Cell Leader for the Tamworth Plant. You will lead a team of Cell Leaders, drive safety, quality and delivery targets, and optimize labour usage to meet production plans.

The role focuses on continuous improvement and a hands-on leadership approach on a rotating shift pattern. You will work closely with Production and Engineering Managers to resolve issues, implement improvements, and ensure compliance with procedures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment as a Shift Manager or similar supervisory role.
• Lean manufacturing or production management experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
• Leadership mindset with continuous improvement focus.

Responsibilities

• Leading by example to maintain a safe, efficient workplace.
• Ensure health & safety, production volume, quality and product safety standards.
• Schedule and utilise labour to meet production plan.
• Allocate labour to machinery and manage breaks.
• Ensure staff are trained and follow skills matrix.
• Drive improvements in machine rates, staffing, and handovers.
