Job summary

IPL Schoeller in Tamworth is looking for a Shift Lead Multi Skilled Engineer to manage the maintenance team, ensure self-sufficiency on the shift, and assist the Engineering Manager with planning and motivation. You will maintain and repair manufacturing equipment, handle onsite repairs, and support preventative maintenance to meet production targets.

The role operates on a Panama shift pattern within a 28-day cycle (14 days on, 14 days off).

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Electrical Engineer with manufacturing experience.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge.
• Apprentice trained mechatronic or Level 3 NVQ in Electrical or multi-skilled engineering.
• Lean manufacturing or production management experience.

Responsibilities

• EnsureHealth and Safety procedures and standards are followed.
• Manage HSE issues for the plant with a zero-accident mindset.
• Lead and develop the maintenance team during shifts and drive continuous improvement.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical faults promptly.
• Plan, record and report maintenance activities and KPI data.
