Job summary

Elvis Eckardt Recruitment is seeking a seasoned CDM Consultant (Principal Designer) with remote work flexibility and Midlands project exposure. You will lead design risk management, review RAMS, and chair design team meetings to ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation.

The role requires senior Principal Designer experience, strong client-facing abilities and proven project management skills. Expect a dynamic environment with travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of the CDM Regulations.
• Senior-level Principal Designer experience.
• Senior-level CDM Advisor experience.
• Experience reviewing CDM documentation for robust development.
• RAMS review experience on high-risk activities on-site.
• Strong project management with client-focused outcomes.
• Ability to communicate regulatory requirements clearly to clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects as directed by your line manager.
• Develop project documentation including Pre-Construction Information, Design Risk Registers, Construction Phase Plans and Health and Safety Files.
• Review project documentation and RAMS for quality and compliance.
• Chair Design Team Meetings at a senior level, ensuring design risks are captured.
• Review RAMS and attend site meetings.
• Perform Site Safety Visits and produce reports with Corrective Action Trackers.
• Write project reports for clients and contribute to business development.
• Be willing to develop new consulting skills to support clients.
• Maintain high standards in communication, listening, negotiation and presentation.
