Job summary

Elvis Eckardt Recruitment is seeking a CDM Consultant (Principal Designer) to lead project safety and risk activities. This remote role includes on-site work in London and the South East, chairing Design Team Meetings, developing and reviewing RAMS, and delivering client-focused reports.

You'll require senior-level CDM/Principal Designer experience, strong project management, and the ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements clearly to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of the CDM Regulations.
• Senior-level experience as Principal Designer.
• Senior-level CDM Advisor experience.
• Experience in reviewing CDM documentation for quality and completeness.
• Experience reviewing RAMS with focus on on-site high-risk activities.
• Excellent project management and client-facing skills.
• Able to communicate regulatory requirements clearly to all levels of client organisations.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects under your line manager.
• Develop Pre-Construction Information, Design Risk Registers, Construction Phase Plans and Health and Safety Files.
• Review design and RAMS documentation to ensure quality and compliance.
• Chair Design Team Meetings (DTM) at senior level and capture design risks.
• Attend site meetings and perform Site Safety Visits with corrective actions.
• Write project reports for clients based on the scope of services.
• Be willing to develop new consulting skills for client needs.
• Maintain high standards of communication, reporting and industry terminology.
