A leading property and construction consultancy is seeking a Senior CDM Consultant/Principal Designer to join their London team. The successful candidate will manage H&S/CDM services, ensuring compliance while developing client relationships. WRG is supporting an independent property & construction consultancy who are looking to appoint an ambitious Senior CDM Consultant/ Principal Designer to their team in Central London. Our client has an established team of construction professionals offering building surveying, cost management, project management and H&S/ CDM services to projects across London.
They oversee a range of commercial, heritage (grade listed properties) and high end super prime residential projects for their diverse client base with 95% of work based within zones 1 & 2. You will be joining a small close knit safety department, currently sat at 3 like-minded CDM professionals.
The role would suit an ambitious and proactive CDM/ PD professional from a consultancy background who feels that their progress is currently stalled, our client has a history of excellent career progression and will offer support and training for you to achieve success.
Responsibilities:
Offer a range of H&S/ CDM services to clients.
Ensure CDM compliance on construction projects.
Oversee the design risk register and attend design risk reviews, along with offering input in relation to safety in design.
Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.
Conduct CDM workshops for clients.
Preparation of health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.
Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS are in place.
Further build and develop existing client relationships and develop new ones.
Liaise with various stakeholders (architects, contractors, developers, designers, client) and keep them informed of changes regarding safety.
Requirements:
NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not required).
Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body.
Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.
Good understanding of BSA and the changes affecting the industry (desirable).
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Full UK driving license.
