Job summary

Compass Group UK&I at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow seeks an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager with Commercial performance and day-to-day delivery of the catering operation for conferences, exhibitions and VIP events.

This senior leadership role combines operational ownership with financial accountability, leading kitchen, back-of-house and front-of-house teams to deliver Levy standards and exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in high-volume catering operations.

Responsibilities

• Take senior operational ownership for day-to-day delivery of consistent product quality and service across conferences, exhibitions, banqueting and other events.
• Coordinate kitchen, back-of-house and front-of-house teams to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Lead a guest-focused culture with strong hospitality standards and understanding of client needs.
• Monitor performance, staffing, presentation, quality and service across departments and take corrective action.
• Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to underpin quality and achieve margins.
• Maintain Levy brand standards across operation and ensure clear communication with client representatives and heads of department.
