Role: Senior Buyer

You will support Category Managers in sourcing materials and services to meet procurement requirements, ensuring value for money, quality, and supplier performance.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Act as the interface between engineering/project management and the team, ensuring service levels are met and issues escalated promptly.
• Identify synergies across categories, fleets, and projects to optimize procurement efficiency.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for assigned categories, from RFP to supplier management.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive procurement experience as a Senior Buyer in an engineering environment.
• Knowledge of railway industry rolling stock and components.
• Strong legal and commercial expertise.
• Proven track record of exceeding KPIs.
• Experience with Oracle-based systems.
• Excellent contract understanding and commercial acumen.
• Well-organized, able to work under pressure.
