Job summary

Fordingbridge Nursing Home, part of Allegra Care, is seeking a dedicated Senior Carer to join our compassionate team. You will supervise care staff and support residents with daily needs, upholding high standards of person-centred care and promoting dignity and independence.

We offer a full-time, ~36 hours per week contract with a competitive pay rate of £14.60 per hour, ongoing training, and a supportive working environment within a growing care group.

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior Carer in a residential or nursing home.
• NVQ Health & Social Care Level 2 or higher; Level 3 desirable.
• Medication administration experience and knowledge of procedures.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

About the Role

As a Senior Carer, you will play a key role in supporting residents with their daily needs while supervising and guiding care staff to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained. What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Previous experience working at Senior Carer level within a residential or nursing home environment
• Relevant NVQ qualifications in Health & Social Care (Level 2 or above, Level 3 desirable)
• Medication administration experience and a good understanding of medication procedures
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A caring, professional and reliable approach
• A genuine passion for supporting older people
