Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Senior Carer for a Residential Care Home on a permanent night shift. You will lead and support a team, ensure person-centred care, and maintain safe, high-quality services for residents in a warm, welcoming environment.

You’ll administer and order medications, update care plans, and work closely with GPs, district nurses and families to support wellbeing and dignity for every resident.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care required.
• Previous experience in a residential care setting essential.
• Warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to individualised resident care.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of care staff with training, supervision and delegation on shift.
• Assist with administering and ordering of medication.
• Review and update resident care plans and risk assessments.
• Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and resident families.
