The Orchard in Houghton-le-Spring, United Kingdom, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to supervise and develop a compassionate care team in our modern care home. You will assess needs, develop person-centred care plans, and ensure top-quality medical, physical and emotional support for residents.
You will mentor staff, maintain best practices, and participate in audits and training to support ongoing professional development. A commitment to dignity and independence for residents is essential.
Competenze
- Level 3 Health & Social Care is essential.
- Experience in elderly care or dementia support.
- At least 6 months' experience as Senior Care Assistant.
Mansioni
- Lead and support the care team to deliver high-quality care.
- Administer medication safely and accurately.
- Monitor residents' wellbeing and update care records.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals and families.
- Support residents with personal care, meals, and daily activities.
- Ensure the home is clean, safe, and welcoming.
- Promote dignity, independence and choice for every resident.
- Participate in audits, inspections and team meetings.
