Job summary

Lifeways is seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant to support our service in Exmouth, working alongside the Service Manager to lead a team and deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a pay rate of £13.70 per hour. A full UK driving licence is required as travel to Exmouth and Newton Abbot services is expected. Opportunities for funded qualifications and career progression are highlighted in the package.

Qualifications

• Experience as Care Team Leader or Senior Support Worker; NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care advantageous.
• Solid track record as Care Assistant or Carer with ambition to progress.
• Excellent person-centred care and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of support workers delivering person-centred care.
• Involved in recruitment and ongoing development of staff.
• Communicate effectively with staff, people supported and external professionals.
