Priory Group in Newhouse Kilmarnock is seeking a Senior Support Worker to join our team. The role offers permanent full-time employment at £13.95 per hour, based at our Newhouse home for adults with learning and mental health needs.

You will support residents with personalised care plans, supervise shifts, and help deliver safe, dignified services. A caring, flexible approach and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker is essential.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise, coach, and motivate others.

• Knowledge of care standards, policies, and safeguarding practices.
• Reliable, flexible, and proactive in problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the delivery of person-centred support and care
• Provide leadership during shifts, including handovers, role allocation, and effective communication.
• Ensure residents have person-centred plans in place and are supported to participate in meaningful activities.
• Deliver team supervisions and contribute to professional development.
• Administer medication safely and in line with procedures.
• Manage service users’ finances and contribute to budget management in accordance with policy.
• Complete and oversee accurate record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with legislation.
• Monitor and support team performance, addressing immediate operational issues as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date training and knowledge to ensure safe and effective practice.
