Job summary

Midlands Care’s Long Lea home in Nuneaton is seeking an experienced Senior Health Care Assistant to lead and support a compassionate care team. You will deliver high-quality personal care to elderly residents, build meaningful relationships with residents and relatives, and coordinate daily activities with strong communication and leadership on night shifts.

The role requires prior senior care experience, a commitment to person-centred care, and a readiness to undertake ongoing training,

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Senior Care Assistant role
• Strong communication skills for leading and coordinating the team
• Willingness to undergo comprehensive training throughout the year, including mandatory courses
• Care Certificate included in induction program
• Willingness to work night shifts (part-time or full-time)

Responsibilities

• Lead the care team on duty, ensuring activities and care are delivered to a high standard
• Provide personal care and support to elderly residents and foster relationships with residents and families
• Demonstrate excellent communication to coordinate and motivate the team
• Prioritise residents’ wellbeing, dignity and privacy at all times
