Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking an experienced Senior Care & Support Worker to lead and support a team delivering person-centred care on the Isle of Wight. You’ll work alongside the Registered Manager to maintain high standards and staff development.

You’ll be based at Ryde Village, Green Meadows, or other schemes, with flexible hours including evenings, weekends and on-call duties to meet residents’ needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting people with care needs and person-centred care.
• Experience in a CQC regulated care environment and compliant standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to supervise and support staff.
• Understanding safeguarding responsibilities and escalation procedures.
• Knowledge of health and safety and risk management.
• Calm and professional under pressure.
• Flexible for evenings, weekends and on-call duties.
