Job summary

The Birchmere House care home, run by Avery Healthcare Group, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to deliver high standards of personal care and support to residents. You will monitor wellbeing, update care plans, supervise staff and act as the main contact for relatives and health professionals.

Applicants should hold an NVQ 3 in care for care homes, have two years of relevant experience, and possess a DBS check. The role emphasizes compassionate, person-centred care and professional development.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Two years' experience in a similar care environment.
• DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring environment for residents, visitors and staff.
• Monitor each resident's wellbeing and act on changes affecting their care.
• Update care plans and written records when needs change.
• Participate in person-centred care planning, monthly evaluations and monitoring plans.
• Support residents with their medication.
• Carry out staff supervisions and support staff development.
• Act as the key contact for residents, relatives, visitors and health and social care professionals.
• Respond to reasonable requests and escalated concerns or complaints.
