Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to look after residents in a care home, supervising a team and supporting the clinical staff in areas like medication, assessments, and care plans. You will uphold dignity and deliver person-centred care in a warm, welcoming environment.

You’ll be part of a team led by the Deputy General Manager, with opportunities for development through ongoing training and potential progression to Care Practitioner or nursing roles.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care
• Clinical care knowledge for the elderly
• Warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to individualized care

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspire a team of Care Assistants alongside the Deputy General Manager
• Support the clinical team in areas such as medication, assessments, care plans or care reviews
• Respect residents' dignity and preferences and contribute to a warm, welcoming environment
