Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Residential Senior Carer to lead a team in one of its care homes. You’ll train staff, supervise shifts, and delegate duties while supporting the administration and ordering of medication and updating resident care plans and risk assessments.

You’ll liaise with GPs, district nurses and residents’ families, ensuring compassionate, person-centred care and a warm, welcoming environment for all residents.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care completed.
• Prior residential care experience with people management.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a care team with sound decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of care staff, including training, supervision and shift delegation.
• Assist with administering and ordering medication and reviewing care plans.
• Update risk assessments and liaise with GPs, district nurses and families.
• Support residents with dignity, warmth and personalised care.
