Job summary

St Philip's Care at Leys Park Care Centre is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead a care team and ensure the highest standards of resident care. The role supports the Manager and may assume duties in their absence, promoting dignity, rights, and person-centred care.

You will supervise care workers, assist residents with daily activities, monitor health changes, and contribute to care planning and training. A friendly team offers full induction, ongoing training, and flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 / MA L3 in Health and Social Care or working towards it.
• Previous experience as a senior in a Residential Care or Nursing Home.
• A Passion for Care of the Elderly.
• Experience of Medication Administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and coordinate a team of care workers to provide the highest standards of care to residents.
• Assume responsibilities of the Manager in their absence and support person-centred care.
• Move and handling, daily hygiene and dressing support for residents.
• Observe, report changes in residents' condition and maintain care plans.
