Job summary

St Philips Care is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for night shifts at Belmont Care Centre. The role involves leading a team of carers, supporting the home manager, and ensuring the highest standards of care for residents while promoting dignity and independence.

The successful candidate will join a close-knit team, with opportunities for training and development and a focus on person-centred care for elderly residents.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 / MA L3 in Health and Social Care or working towards it.
• Previous experience as a senior in a Residential Care or Nursing Home.
• A passion for care of the elderly.
• Experience of medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and coordinate a team of care workers to provide high standards of care.
• Support the Manager in the overall management of the home.
• Assume responsibilities of the Manager in their absence.
• Create an environment that respects residents' rights and promotes person-centred care.
• Ensure care planning, medication delivery and safety for a designated group of residents.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition and notify the Manager.
