Job summary
Shaw Healthcare is recruiting a Senior Support Worker for Llys Hafren Residential Care Home in Welshpool to lead by example and deliver compassionate, person-centred care to residents living with dementia. You will support the Team Leader with day-to-day running, administer medications safely, and maintain accurate records while promoting dignity, independence and choice for each resident.

Qualifications
- Experience in a residential elderly care setting.
- Experience supporting people living with dementia.
- Confident in administering medication and maintaining records.
- QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or working towards it.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to lead by example.
- Calm, professional and supportive in challenging situations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred care tailored to residents' needs and life histories.
- Promote best practice in dementia care with dignity and respect.
- Administer and manage medication safely and in line with policies.
- Observe and respond to changes in residents' wellbeing.
- Develop positive relationships with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to care planning, risk assessments and record keeping.
- Act as a positive role model and uphold Shaw Healthcare's values.
