Job summary

Shaw Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Support Worker for Llys Hafren Care Home in Welshpool. The role is an as/when-needed, 0-hour contract with day and night shifts (06:45-21:15; 21:00-07:00). Salary is £13.67 per hour, with full training and ongoing support provided.

You will help promote physical and emotional well-being, deliver person-centred care, and work as part of a dedicated team in a dementia-focused setting. Prior experience is not required; values and behaviours matter most.

Qualifications

• No previous care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Providing person-centred care in line with an individual’s care plan.
• Offering personal care, including bathing, dressing and hygiene.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of care delivered, including fluids/food intake, activities and incidents.
• Promoting dignity, choice and inclusion.
• Working collaboratively as part of a team and supporting colleagues in day-to-day duties.
• Maintaining a safe, happy, and caring environment.
