Job summary

Nurse Seekers is recruiting a Senior Care Assistant for a luxury retirement home in Eccles, Greater Manchester. You will lead the care team on shift, delivering compassionate, person-centred care while ensuring residents maintain independence and dignity.

The role includes day or night shifts, focusing on high standards of care, accurate documentation, and safe medication administration, within a warm living environment for 19 residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior care role within a residential or nursing home.
• Compassionate, patient and person-centred approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate and support colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Leading, mentoring and supporting care staff on shift
• Delivering compassionate care tailored to residents' individual needs
• Assisting residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity and independence
• Administering medication in accordance with procedures and training
• Maintaining accurate care plans, records and documentation
• Monitoring residents' wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns
• Creating a safe, comfortable and positive living environment
• Encouraging social interaction, companionship and meaningful daily activities
• Working closely with colleagues to maintain consistently high standards of care
