Job summary

Avon Search is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for a luxury retirement home in Eccles, Greater Manchester. The role offers 24 hours per week, with shift options of days or nights, and a pay rate of £14.45 per hour. You will lead a small care team and provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents.

Ideal candidates have prior senior care experience, strong communication and leadership skills, and knowledge of medication procedures. An NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a senior care role within a residential or nursing home.
• Ability to lead, motivate and support colleagues.
• Knowledge of medication procedures and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Leading, mentoring and supporting care staff on shift.
• Delivering compassionate care tailored to residents' needs.
• Assisting residents with daily living activities with dignity and independence.
• Administering medication in accordance with procedures and training.
• Maintaining accurate care plans, records and documentation.
• Monitoring residents' wellbeing and reporting changes or concerns.
• Creating a safe, comfortable and positive living environment.
• Encouraging social interaction and meaningful daily activities.
