Qualifications

• Experience in a care setting, preferably in a senior care role.
• Willing to work towards Level 3 Health and Social Care where required.
• Strong communication, teamwork and leadership abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: assist residents with washing, dressing, toileting and daily living activities.
• Lead and support care staff: guide, supervise and support carers to maintain high standards of care.
• Develop care plans: implement and review individual plans for personalised care.
• Administer medication: safely administer and record medications per policies.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing: observe changes and escalate concerns as needed.
• Promote independence: encourage residents to maintain independence and participate in activities.
• Maintain accurate records: complete daily care notes and medication records promptly.
• Ensure health and safety: follow infection control and safeguarding guidelines.
• Communicate effectively: build relationships with residents, families and healthcare staff.
• Provide emotional support: offer companionship and reassurance to residents.
• Support daily activities: assist with meals, hydration and mobility.
• Respond to emergencies: follow procedures and provide appropriate support.
