Job summary

Chetwynd House Care Home in Chilwell, Nottingham, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead the care team and deliver outstanding, person-centred care across day and night shifts. The role involves supervising staff, administering medications, and contributing to care plan development under the Care Manager.

Working with the wider healthcare team, you will monitor wellbeing, maintain accurate records and promote residents’ independence while supporting activities, meals and outings.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is essential.
• Willingness to achieve NVQ Level 3.
• Experience with medication administration and maintaining accurate medication records.
• Experience supporting care planning, risk assessments and care documentation.
• Strong leadership to supervise, mentor and motivate a care team.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to deliver outstanding, person-centred care.
• Administer medication and review care plans with the team.
• Supervise Care Assistants and support admissions and transfers.
• Maintain accurate care records and safety documentation.
