Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group are recruiting a warm Senior Care Assistant - Nights for Scholars Mews Care Home in Stratford-upon-Avon. You will support our care team to deliver high-quality personal care in a safe, caring environment.

You will hold an NVQ 3 in care for care homes, have about 2 years of relevant experience, and demonstrate strong communication and a positive, flexible approach to residents and colleagues. A DBS check will be paid by Avery, and eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• At least 2 years' experience in a similar care environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Positive, caring attitude with flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with high standards of personal care.
• Participate in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Assist with residents' medication needs as required.
• Provide staff supervision and support development.
• Serve as a key contact for residents, relatives, and health professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive , and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff .

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have 2 years’ experience working in similar care environment.

• Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
