Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group in Leeds is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant – Nights to join Aire View Care Home. You will work alongside the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ 3 or equivalent, have at least two years’ experience in a similar care setting, and be able to communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years’ experience in similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, noting changes and updating care plans.
• Involvement in person-centred care planning with monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development.
• Acting as a key contact with residents, relatives, and health and social care professionals, escalating concerns.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive , and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff .

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
