Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, dedicated Senior Care Assistant - Nights for Avonmere Care Home in Bristol. You will deliver high standards of personal care, support the care team, and ensure a safe, compassionate environment for residents, visitors and staff.

The role requires NVQ 3 in care and at least 2 years' experience in a similar setting, with strong communication skills and a flexible approach to shifts. A DBS check will be funded by Avery Healthcare Group.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the wellbeing of residents and update care plans as needed.
  • Involve yourself in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
  • Support residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development where required.
  • Act as a key point of contact for residents, relatives and visitors, and escalate concerns as appropriate.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to

support

and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,

supportive

inclusive

environment for residents, visitors and staff

.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.

Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.

Supporting residents with their medication requirements.

Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.

Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
