Job summary

Greensleeves Care is a respected care charity delivering 24-hour residential, dementia and nursing care to older people across 26 care homes in England. We are an accredited Living Wage employer offering free learning and development to colleagues.

As a Senior Care Assistant (Nights), you will assist residents with personal care, perform regular checks with emphasis on fire prevention, support mobility, aid personal hygiene, and ensure residents’ whereabouts are known when not in their rooms.

Qualifications

• QCF diploma in social care level 2 (Essential).
• Proven ability and experience in the safe administration of Medication (Essential).
• An understanding of the importance of confidentiality (Essential).
• Experience in providing care (Essential).

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs.
• In conjunction with the Night Care Assistant, carry out regular checks on residents and on the building with special reference to fire prevention at intervals determined by the Manager and with due regard to residents’ privacy.
• Assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
• Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene, e.g. incontinence.
• Be aware of residents' whereabouts if absent from their bedroom.

Hourly Rate Structure

• Qualified Senior Carer - NVQ 4 Equivalent - £16.14 per hour


• Qualified Senior Carer - NVQ 3 Equivalent - £15.80 per hour


• Unqualified Senior Carer - £14.29 per hour
